Tripura Sports Council is an autonomous Body Constituted by the Government of Tripura for 3 ( three) years w.e.f. 1/7/2006.

The Primary function of the council is to create an atmosphere of sports through out the State. The duty and responsibility of the council is to organize games and sports at different age levels and to spot out talents and to put them in special programme in phase manner to uplift their standers in the National and International levels.  Different Affiliated Associations of Tripura Sports Council work for the development of games and sports under the guidance of the Tripura Sports Council.
